RE: McKesh Mirrors

Another vote for McKesh. Been using them 2 years now and love them. One of the best accessory purchases I made.

RE: covering the Trailer

Also problem with the blue tarps is they don't let the moisture escape. I also have an ADCO custom cover and love it. Well worth the price.

RE: LOOKING FOR CAMP SITE NEAR KINGS DOMINION

I just moved from F-burg, and there is a nice KOA there. I stayed there for 2 weeks just before moving. But it is still the 1-hour drive to Richmond.

RE: Proper Travel Trailer Battery Charging?

Another vote for the BatteryMinder as well. Works great, doesn't take up much room. Works great to just leave it for the winter!

RE: Surge Guard or Progressive

Another vote for Progressive Industries - HW 30 Amp. Very easy to install .. much easier than worrying about a portable.

RE: Surge Guards. Do I need one?

I have the EMS 30-amp hard-wire system and wouldn't be without it. Already saved the appliances in the trailer twice, when surrounding trailers have been fried due to electrical problems in campground.

RE: Surge protectors?

I use the EMS Hardwired system. Love it and wouldn't be without out. Very easy to install - now it's in there permanently and I don't worry about it. Believe it already saved my appliances once. Recent campground had a voltage drop - EMS killed the power, but several other campers around me lost A/C and or the fridge.

RE: Anybody have any luck with Adco warranty returns?

I've had nothing but GREAT experiences with them. Purchased ADCO custom cover last year, one strap is in wrong place for my trailer. They are moving it, I only have to pay for shipping - I have found them to nothing but responsive and dedicated to customer service. Very happy with quality of my cover and communication with ADCO.

RE: Monitoring transmission temp

Another vote here for the AeroForce Intercepter Gauge. Went with that versus ScanGauge due to it's shape and I wanted it on the A-piller

Another vote for McKesh here!

RE: pre-paid tolls wHTT or TT

Same thing here. EZ-Pass transponders are normally coded to a specific axle count. So I have two transponders, one for towing, one without the extra axles when towing.

RE: Help! Rain coat for a toddler...

Best one I found is MoleHill Mountain: http://www.molehillmtn.com/ We have a set of twins and need good rain-suits (jacket & pant) for a Thanksgiving fishing trip. These are a great set. We bought them 2T, and they are big enough we are on 3rd season for them! Plus, they have a built-in pocket in the jacket so you can fold the entire set-up and it takes up little amount of space .. and they have a "belly strap" so once you fold them up, they twins can wear them around themselves like a belly pack. We couldn't be happier with them ... and they will be getting new ones once they outgrow these.

RE: Travel trailer covers

I have a custom made ADCO and couldn't be happier - their customer service is great! When I purchased my cover, they had never built one for my particular model - sent them all the detailed measurements they asked for, but still had a problem that one strap for underneath was right over a wheel. One call to them, send it back and they are moving strap, plus checking for any wear; if they see any worn spots, they are going to add fleece padding - All at No Charge. I just have to pay for shipping - not too many places willing to do that anymore. If you are unhappy with your cover, contact Paul at ADCO covers - from my experience with them, at least with my Custom Cover, they seem very dedicated to having satisfied customers.

RE: Slide Out Cover

Anyone ever seen a slide-topper for a rear slide? Have a hard-slide rear queen bed slide - goes out 50" - haven't been able to find any slide toppers bigger than 42".
